So we added a little local flair to our delicious breakfast menu, featuring the Bubur Ayam! Originally a Chinese-based dish, it is a delightful comfort-food breakfast bowl made of shredded chicken, rice porridge, and fresh garden herbs garnish. Healthy, light, lots of flavour, without the powerful spice (unless you want it!). “Ayam” meaning chicken in Indonesian, this bowl is a terrific energy boost to start your day with some local panache to feel at home in Bali. Favoured by many Asian nationalities, it is now gaining popularity with many “Western” travellers as an undiscovered Indonesian gem.
