Named after the first female President in Indonesia, Kadek Megawati, otherwise known to us as Mega, this shy and cheeky character is sure a special member of our Muntigs Bar & Restaurant team. “Kadek,” meaning the second born in Balinese naming, Mega is very close with her mother who is also her best friend. Mega started with the Batu Karang Lembongan Resort & Day Spa family originally at The Deck Café & Bar, and was quickly scooped up by Muntigs Bar & Restaurant with her natural eye for upscale hospitality. Being her first job out of school, we think she’s pretty wonderful, and apparently so do many of our guests who have a little twinkle in their eye for her cheeky banter and smile! She most definitely does not blend in with the crowd, and was raised practicing Balinese dance, which is perhaps why she carries herself with the grace that she does. What does Mega like working most about the Batu Karang family? Her friends, of course. But second, well, the owner’s toddler who happens to be a very cheeky character of his own! Takes one to know one. Mega is saving her earnings to buy a sewing machine and send herself to fashion design school, & hopefully one day open her own t-shirt & kebaya (the Indonesian formal cultural ladies’ dress) shop. Until she achieves her dreams, please come help bring out her cheeky twinkle that lights up a room, we are certain it will be a memorable time with us.
